Dexter's beach – a sacred meeting with an angel dog in the Light

Connecting with beloved pets that have passed is one of the most healing things that we can do. This blog contains an example of Marianne Soucy's Sacred Spirit Journeys which is the technique she uses to connect with pets in the afterlife. In this journey she connected with Dexter the angel dog on behalf of the dog's grieving human family.

Let's begin...

As soon as I begin the Sacred Spirit Journey to connect with Dexter the angel dog, I feel that he is very close. That he is around. But interestingly, I also feel and see him coming from above with the light. Divine light.

As I feel the light shine on me, I experience myself in nature by the sea, but right now there is not much focus on the sea or land, mainly the sky. The vast clear blue sky with the sun shining.

A wave of intense light comes and washes over me and my spirit guide, holding us gently in its Divine embrace. In the midst of this light is Dexter. Meeting us with the purest joy you can imagine, and the unconditional love from his precious, loyal, and open heart.

Dexter greets me and my spirit guide and says:

“This is Divine Joy. Not just ordinary joy, but the purest joy that is of Divine nature. A joy that doesn't need a cause.

When you let the Divine shine and flow through you, you are aligned with the Divine spark that lives within you. Go beyond what you think is you, and you will find the Divine, where you shine without trying. Just by being. That is part of my message for my family.”

Dexter's energy is extremely pure. His joy of Divine nature, and being near him is like being in a place filled with light. In the connection with Dexter, a lot takes place beyond words. It is an experience of, and a meeting with the Divine. Big words, but that is how it feels.

“Let us go and bring the light to my family now”, Dexter says.

Next, I see a house. We are above it. I see the roof lifted off, and the Divine light Dexter brings, fill the entire house with blessings.

Dexter's mom is there. She suddenly stops what she is doing, looks around and says:

“The light is back. Dexter is back.”

In that moment, he floats down and lands gently in her arms, and she hugs him, telling him how much she loves him.

Dexter says:

“I never really left. My body did, but the essence of who I am is still with you, and always will be. Let the light in, and feel me near.

I am eternally yours, and I love you both so very much.”

Dexter's mom says while holding him:

“Can you forgive us for putting you down?”

Dexter snuggles up against her and says softly:

“You helped set my spirit free when my body was failing. It was my time. Thank you for being there for and with me, not just during my passing, but all through my life.”

His mom asks: “Are you happy now?”

Dexter says:

“Oh, yes, I am. As happy as I have ever been. My spirit is free, I explore, have fun and play too. I can run free. And best of all, I can come visit you – and I do.

When you feel me near, when you think of me, I am close. Do not doubt your heart when it tells you I am near.”

Dexter shows her a vision where he and other dogs are running and playing joyfully on a beach. While we watch them play, I see a woman sitting on a horse that is walking close to the water.

Suddenly, we are all on that beach. It is a different beach than the usual one I visit in my journeys. This feels like 'Dexter's beach'.

His mom smiles as she watches Dexter play. She says:

“I am so happy to see him run and play and enjoy himself. He was such a joyful little soul. He will always live on in my heart.”

In that moment, Dexter turns and looks at his mom and sends her his biggest smile. He then calls her, and she goes to him. Dexter looks down at something he has found, and she takes a closer look. It is a big, beautiful sea shell. The kind that when you hold it to your ear, you can hear the sea.

“Yes”, Dexter says. “Take the sea shell with you, and you can listen to the sea and with your inner eye see me play and have fun. That will bring joy to your heart and peace to your soul.

Know that I am doing very well, that I am always near and available when you need me, and that I love you with all my heart and soul.

Walk home in peace now. All is well.”

They say a warm farewell, and Dexter's mom takes a last look at him and smiles, waving to him, and then she walks home with a full and joyful heart, holding her sea shell.

At home, she puts the shell in a place in the light where it will remind her of Dexter playing on the beach every time she sees it.

“Thank you, Dexter”, she says softly. “I love you.”

“I love you too”, we hear Dexter say.

We says goodbye to Dexter's mom whose house is now filled with light and the beautiful presence of Dexter's joyful energy.

“Is there more we need to do”, I ask my spirit guide.

“No, they will be fine”, he says.

I give thanks and end the journey.
